I never really had figs until recently! I love them and they’re so yummy on their own with their subtly sweetness. I wanted to make something simple and delicious with them. I decided to whip together these fig bars!
These are sugar free, gluten free and lectin free! 🙂
Also, sorry all my recipes are in weird formats and all done differently! I figure it gets the job done!
I made a small batch (about 9 bars) because I didn’t have many figs. So I recommend doubling the recipe if you have a lot of mouths to feed.
* 6 peeled figs
* 1 Tbsp of coconut oil
* 1 Tsp of lemon juice
* 1 Tsp cinnamon
* 1/4 Tbsp brown swerve (optional)
Directions: put all these ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir until well combined and thick.
* 1 cup almond flour
* 1/4 Tbsp tapioca flour
* 4 Tbsp brown swerve
* 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
* 1/4 Tsp vanilla
* 1/4 cup almond flour
* 1 Tbsp coconut oil
* 1/2 Tbsp brown swerve
Directions: set oven to 350 degrees. Combine all crust ingredients and spread into an 8×8 pan (I used a pie dish because I’m odd). Bake for 10 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven and spread the sauce on top. Sprinkle the crumble topping on and bake for 5 more minutes or until the top is golden.
